I thought I'd share a list of my consumption last night: scallops with chocolate sauce, deviled eggs (I did question my husband whether it was possible these were simply leftover Easter eggs passing as a tapas dish), cauliflower 'risotto' (not really risotto after all -- cauliflower prepared to appear as risotto, with baked tomatoes), curried almonds, a peach tart (my description really cannot do justice to its wonderment). And, of course a bottle of this. I shared. I really did.
It was a very nice evening. My husband and I talked about E, our other children, our hopes of getting out of all these holes (mainly grief, debt, and his job). We listened to delightful music, coincidentally performed by my husband's high school friend who no longer lives here.
Now, to face another day. I hope you have a good one.

Sounds so delicious, the food, the wine and time with the hubby, jealous!! Sounds like you are hanging in! Sending you my love!
Scallops with, gulp, chocolate? Two very good things, but together?
But tapas and wine make the world kind. Sending you much love...thank you.
Sounds very yummy! Glad that you guys had some alone time.
That sounds so wonderful! I'm so, so happy for (and a little jealous of!) you!
Hmm. I don't care for scallops, but maybe dipped in chocolate I could get on board with them! :) Sounds like a lovely night. I'm so glad--you're long overdue for a string of lovely nights and days.
