I sound like a broken record with my apologies, but I do feel remiss not posting this sooner. As you know, I have infrequent computer access and cannot blog often. Plus, I started homeschooling L (yikes!), O started school, and N started preschool. So, please forgive me. :)
Our sweet baby boy, F, was born Tuesday, August 24th, at 11:49 AM. He weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. and was 21 inches long.
F lost far too much weight upon his discharge from the hospital and he also became very jaundiced. We had to bring him to the doctor for weight checks and blood tests nearly every day. His poor little heels got very sore from all the poking. To remedy his weight loss and yellowing, I must pump, nurse, and supplement every two hours. He finally got a normal blood test result last week and he finally surpassed his birth weight on Tuesday of this week. I've dropped the supplementing, but I'm still pumping to ensure my milk supply and to try and track (to a degree) just how much he's consuming.
I will soon post more about his birth because I feel it's important to share my experience of giving birth to a live baby after the tragic experience of birthing E, born still.

Congratulations on F!!! If you email me his name, I'd like to have a Mass said in his honor. :)
How strange. I was in a meeting at work today and suddenly dried up, mid-sentence, as I thought to myself 'OM! I wonder and wonder if everything is all right with her and if her little one has arrived yet?!' Then I mustered my brain cells together and finished what I was saying!
And here you are! And here is F! I'm sorry you've had a difficult start. I know all about the sore heels, very ouchy to watch even! Good luck with the pumping and many, many congratulations. I'm so pleased he arrived safely.
Congratulations on the arrival of F. I was wondering how you were doing.
Your experience with weight loss and jaundice sounds all too familiar. I'm still pumping like mad at eight weeks after we also discovered Ernest has a few other problems. Hope you don't have to pump for too long and everything calms down. x
Congrats on Baby F's arrival! Here's hoping sleep is in your near future!
Congratulations! I'm so glad F arrived safely!
Congratulations!
a little late on this - but congrats on the arrival of little F. So happy for you!
I'm very late in sending my warmest wishes and congratulations your way, but here they are! SO so happy for you and your family and delighted to hear that F has arrived safely. Sending lots and lots of love and good vibes in your direction.

You probably don't check this anymore more, but I really relate to your posts. I lost my 4th child....my 4th son in January. I carried my 3rd for 41weeks and my first two were full term. I randomly went into premature labor with this little guy at 24 weeks and he passed away 6 hours later. Your posts are so similar to my feelings...with an odd signifigance. I was diagnosed with hashimotos, they think, but my thyroid is enlarge so I have to have an ultrasound to rule out cancer. They don't know why I went into premature labor and I held my breath as I read why you lost E. So scared that was the reason. Anyhow, can u tell this is going to get better? I cannot breathe anymore.
Oh, Rachel. I am so sorry for your very recent loss of your sweet baby boy. Is there a way to contact you? I would like to blog again soon, but I'm usually limited to my phone. Please leave another note with contact info or try emailing me at foodgoose@gmail.com. I'm thinking of you and praying for you. Peace, my friend.
